What is a babywearing dance fitness class?
A babywearing dance fitness class is a movement class where caregivers safely wear their baby in a carrier while participating in music-based movement and exercise. Baby Mombo™ classes focus on connection, fun, caregiver wellness, and accessible movement rather than intense choreography or “bounce back” fitness culture.
Is Baby Mombo™ safe postpartum?
Baby Mombo™ is designed with caregiver wellness and postpartum recovery in mind. Movement options and modifications are offered throughout class to support a variety of comfort and fitness levels.
As with any postpartum fitness program, caregivers should consult their healthcare provider about returning to exercise, especially following birth, surgery, or medical complications.
Do I need babywearing experience?
No! Beginners are welcome. You do not need prior babywearing or dance experience to participate in Baby Mombo™. Guidance is provided to help caregivers feel comfortable and confident using their carrier safely during class.
Can I join Baby Mombo™ as a beginner dancer/exerciser?
Absolutely! Baby Mombo™ classes are designed to be welcoming, supportive, and beginner-friendly. Whether you are new to fitness, returning to movement postpartum, or simply looking for a joyful way to connect with your baby, classes are structured to help you participate at your own pace.
Are Baby Mombo™ classes available online?
Yes! Baby Mombo™ has live, online class options. Families can participate in live virtual classes from home, and additional on-demand options are being developed to make this class fit into everyone’s schedule.
Will this be too hard/too easy?
Every day is different, so do what feels right for you during every song in every class!
Some days, you may take squats deeper or use additional hand weights.
Some days, just taking some steps may be enough of a challenge.

What is the youngest age a child can attend?
Typically, the youngest age is 6 weeks, provided the postpartum person has been cleared by their doctor or midwife to resume exercise.
What is the oldest age a child can attend?
As long as your child remains in the carrier and you feel comfortable enough carrying them, any age child is welcome. Typically, children attend through 18-24 months.
What should I eat/drink before class?
Plan on eating a light snack (think carbs and protein!) approximately 45 minutes before class to keep you feeling strong while we dance.
Always have water nearby! You can never drink enough before, during, and after class!
